Matt Barnes Challenges Groupies and Tricks on Twitter to Keep Their Legs Closed

I don’t know what you groupies and or tricks did to piss off Matt Barnes but he’s madder than hell and he’s not going to take it anymore.

In what appears to be a random tweet sent around 1:50 a.m. EST Barnes unleashes some serious anger on women whom, it seems, he feels make their way through life by having sex with people who make their way through life by playing basketball.

Maybe I’m old school, but if I my team had just gotten beat down like you guys just did by Boston, I wouldn’t be talking shit to anyone, not even groupies and tricks. What’s the old saying, “you can’t talk like a pimp and get beat like a ho”? I don’t know, something like that.

  1. hahaa. Matt Barnes, you aren't even relevant. Also, stop speaking in jive. It makes you sound even more ridiculous.

  2. This “tweet” is a window into Matt Barnes psyche — dude is such trash that he's the only one hurt and bewildered by the groupie off-season and has evidently taken it quite personally. Matt should fnd some off-season hobbies along the lines of ohhh i dont know — a wife, girlfriend, golf or how about trying to figure out how to put 2 or more consecutive good outings together for your inadequate Magic and maybe become somewhat of a valuable asset to the team in the playoffs.

  3. It isn't as random as it seems. His fiance is on a reality show on VH-1 called Basketball Wives where a bunch of the “wives” (mostly ex-girlfriends, former groupies) tried to convince her that he's cheating on her. He's been spouting off on Twitter at them for the last month. Kept threatening to put them on blast after the season. Guess this tweet was his big revenge.

    • Cool, thanks for the perspective on this, I've never heard of that show so it does give you an idea of where this comes from. I did go back through his Tweets though and was pretty surprised that someone as public as him, tweeting on an official account, would say many of the things he said.

      • Yeah, I definitely agree. I can't imagine the Magic organization (or the org of any future team) would be pleased by his comments. In terms of entertainment value, his candor is great, but from a public relations standpoint, it's a nightmare. He doesn't seem to care, but I imagine he would if it proves to negatively effect his contract offers.
