Disqus Comments on WordPress

Some of you keen observers may have noticed that the look and feel of the comments has changed a bit. After not so much debating I’ve decided to give Disqus a shot at the comments on the site. They have a lot of very cool features such as the option to post a video comment, reply to other people’s comments and vote comments up and down.
Plus, once you start commenting, not only on this blog, but on any blog or site using Disqus, even if you’re not a member now, you can sign up at Disqus and claim all of your comments which are stored in a blog format. It’s basically a great way for people to follow your train of though as you leave your mark around the web.
If you’re interested on using Disqus comments on your WordPress site, you should definitely check out the new and improved plugin. It’s incredibly easy to install and even has full integration with your existing WordPress comments. All of my old comments were automatically imported into the new system.
Please, feel free to give it a try and leave a comment or three. Although I must say I am finicky and while I sort of dig it now, I reserve the right to revert back to WordPress comments at any time.
Has anyone else with a WordPress blog made the switch to Disqus? Would love to hear your thoughts about it.

btw, any idea why the Community code in my sidebar isn't picking up the hover background color? It's hard to see the white when you mouse over a link.Is there a CSS cheat sheet or anything I should know about?

Looks a lot like wordpress, Which I guess is a good thing since that has become the gold standard in blogging .

And I just made a liar out of myself. Disqus has proved that they're serious about innovation. They released a new feature today that allows people to login to comment using their Twitter accounts.I'll be sticking with Disqus for a while.
Yeah, I switched back to regular WP comments. It really had nothing to do with the performance of Disqus, I’m just sort of anal about keeping everything on one platform.
Plus, one of the things I liked about Disqus, the ability to reply to a comment, will be added in one of my site updates anyway.
I think Disqus is going to be the next best thing in commenting. It's great at stopping spam !

Disqus provides you with a better way of attracting blog readers to start thread conversations in blog posts. It enables the post to be more interactive and manageable and it presents blog comments in a nicer, web 2.0ish way.

I have a blog with multiple authors. They login with their wordpress accounts and they want to make comments as an author and not a disqus acct, facebook acct, etc… How does one link their WP Author account to Disqus?
I’m having this same problem. Got a site with multiple authors, I’d rather they just be able to comment using their WP author account. Did you find any resolution to this issue?
